        Tiny Dresden BOM

Join the fun as you make this 12 month series of tiny Dresden projects. Learn to make a simple Dresden plate and then embellish your project with some hand embroidery. Taught by our embroidery expert, Koreen. These will be completed each month and ready to adorn any accent table or desk for you to display each month. Use your own scraps for this project each month or we can put together a kit for you. ($15.00)

When: 3rd Tuesday each month starting Sept 21, Oct 19, Nov 16, etc.

Time: 9:30-12:30

Cost: $10.00 each month plus pattern ($7.50) Tool ($8.00) one time purchase. Hanger (optional) $24.00

Supply list: General sewing supplies plus hand embroidery needle, thread, thimble.( Check with Koreen each month .)

 Beginner Quick Class

We will show you how to use today's rotary quilting tools, (rotary cutter, ruler, & mat) as you sew up a quick project. Develop basic quilt making skills as you learn to cut, sew, sandwich, quilt, & bind your mini project. Just chose your favorite 5” charm pack. (Class is available for all who wish to make this project, but is designed to help those who have yet tried their hand at todays methods.)

When: Monday, Oct 11, 18, & 25th.

Time: 1:00-4:00

Cost: $35.00 plus pattern ($10.00)

Supplies: General sewing supplies to include acrylic ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat . Sewing machine in good working order with ¼ inch foot and walking foot. Fabric according to pattern. Fabric must be purchased at P2P for quality purposes.

Clothesline Plate Centerpiece

Let’s Zig Zag a clothesline into a round 8-10 inch plate. We will then finish it with a bias binding and paint a motif/quilt block to make this great gift.

When: Wednesday, Oct 13th or Sat Oct 23rd

Time: All day: 9-3 (bring a sack lunch)

Cost: $25.00 plus clothesline ($7.99)

Please purchase clothesline at P2P to insure correct type is used. Cost will include paint, sponge brush, and frog tape for finishing the project.

Supplies: General sewing supplies. Machine in good working order and must have a zig zag stitch. (foot to accommodate the zig zag stitch) Also a walking foot for attatching the binding. Plenty of cream colored cotton thread.


Quilt As You Go Runner

You will make this runner using a quilt- as- you-go method and have your Christmas table ready for the Holidays just in time. As you piece the top, the quilting is done. Just bind & done!

When: Monday, Nov. 15

Time: All day, 9-3 (bring a sack lunch)

Cost: $20.00 plus pattern (10.00)

Supplies: General sewing supplies. Fabric as stated on pattern. Walking foot for machine. Fusible web. Marking pencil.

Have you used the Kitty Cornered tool by Creative Grid yet? You will love how perfectly these stars come together. Then try your skill at the Log Cabin trim too. Both are so versatile and worth learning to use for any project, but just look the gorgeous metallic fabrics I have chosen to make this project with.

Learn how easy it is to create this star using the 60 degree diamond ruler by Creative Grids. Cut triangles, diamonds, hexagons, parallelograms, trapezoids, and side setting triangles with this one tool!

When: Wed Nov 17th

Time: 9-3 (bring a sack lunch)

Cost: $20.00 plus pattern & tool

Supplies: General sewing supplies. Optional: rotating mat and stripology ruler.

The Last Monday Group will be making another pillow. If you are interested in attending, they will be meeting Oct 29 at 1:30 pm. Cost is 15.00. You must purchase the pattern. Use your scraps or come see what Jeanne has made in more country colors than this picture shows. This sample was made a couple years ago so exact fabrics are no longer available; however, we could help you choose similar fabrics. Or, pick from your scrap stash.
